rape, aggravated stautory rape, aggravated sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. One of the runaways, a 13-year old girl, was found late Friday night at an apartment just outside Jackson city limits on Highway 70 East. She was incoherent from being intoxicated and had to be hospitalized. She told investigators that the other runaway, a 15-year old girl, was still at another apartment with Herron.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman held at gunpoint in January said she feared the worst when two men appeared at her door. “I thought he was either going to rape me, shoot me or kill me in front of my family’s home,” said Christina Wang. The accused men, Timothy Thomas, 23, and Patrick Maxwell, 17, robbed and raped other women. the attack on Wang was the first in a series of violent home invasions that included two rapes in the Metrowest area that detectives said were conducted by Thomas and Maxwell. Thomas is accused of raping two women in front of their male roommates.

Police have arrested a Greenfield man for allegedly arranging to sell his 14-year-old daughter into marriage in exchange for $16,000, 100 cases of beer and several cases of meat.

Police said they only learned of the deal after the 36-year-old man went to them to get his daughter back because payment wasn’t made as promised. The man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of human trafficking.

Officers also arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of statutory rape. Investigators believe the girl went willingly with the man, but she’s under California’s legal age of consent and can’t legally marry.
