A 21-year-old mentally challenged woman was led away from the bus stop at downtown Cincinnati’s Government Square complex Saturday afternoon by an unknown man and taken to a nearby stairwell where he attempted to have sex with the woman, police in Cincinnati said.
For reasons that are not clear to police, the man raced off with the woman’s cell phone and wallet after forcing her pants off and initiating sex.
The woman, who lives in a group home, told police that she was approached by four people at the bus stop who began talking to her.
One man then led her by the hand across the street and through the Westin hotel and then over to a Carew Tower stairwell.
Police don’t think the other men followed.
The attacker is described as black man, in his 20s. He has braids and was wearing black pants, a white shirt and a brown jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cincinnati Police Department at 513-352-3505.

Saturday evening, following a tip, Pennsylvania SPCA law enforcement officers arrested James Davis, 19, of the 2100 block of 22d Street in North Philadelphia, according to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
If convicted, Davis faces up to two years in prison and a fine of at least $1,000, the PSPCA said.
Contrary to other reports, Davis did not turn himself in, said George Bengal, the nonprofit’s director of law enforcement.
Davis admitted to impulsively taping up the cat after seeing it in the yard of the home where he lives with his parents, Bengal said.
Davis left the cat in his yard for a couple of hours, then, because the animal kept screaming, tossed it into a neighbor’s yard, where at least 12 hours passed before she was noticed and authorities were contacted, Bengal said.

A would-be thief received more than he bargained for Saturday when a Donalds homeowner gave him an arrest and a trip to the emergency room.
The Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stabbing about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, and when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man staggering in the driveway, bleeding profusely from a wound to his left shoulder, according to police reports.
The man — identified as Locketus Jarvarus Marshall, 23, of 204 Haigler St., Abbeville — passed out, and while Emergency Medical Services took him to Self Regional Medical Center, officers got written statements from the homeowner and a witness, only to arrest Marshall.
According to the homeowner, she had spent the evening in Anderson and returned to see the home completely dark. When she entered, she heard someone moving inside the home and called out, detective Michael Belcher said Monday.
“At that point, (Marshall) grabbed the victim and pushed her up against the kitchen sink. She tried to call 911, but she couldn’t see the numbers, so she called her father, who she had on speed dial,” Belcher said.
The homeowner then felt around in the sink, found a knife and struck Marshall with it in the left shoulder.
“Once she stabbed him, Mr. Marshall ran outside and called 911 to say he’d been stabbed,” Belcher said. “He made the comment he’d gotten a ride to a friend’s house because his car had caught on fire.”
