Should’ve euthanized the girl instead…

August 8th, 2006 admin No comments

We got 7 billion people on the planet, and probably only a couple ten or hundred thousand meerkats left. I say euthanize the more common of the two species, to save the rarer species. Thats how the law should be written.

The five meerkats were euthanized Thursday, a day after a 9-year-old girl reached her hand into the exhibit and was bitten. The meerkats — two adults and their three babies born in spring — were vaccinated for rabies, but state health protocol required that they be killed and tested because the girl’s parents didn’t want her to undergo a series of six painful rabies shots.

Scissor-Wielding She-Ninja myspace retard Kills Stepdad

August 8th, 2006 admin No comments

This guy was a dumbass… if he’d just let her check her myspace account, maybe she’d finally have met a man to marry or move in with and get her out of the house. Seriously, that’s some incredibly skilled or incredibly lucky scissors throwing. Also, since the stepdad was trying to control something as trivial as his 26-year-old stepdaughter’s internet use, the asshole probably got his due. Just joking.

A young Brooklyn mother killed her stepfather by flinging a pair of scissors into his chest as she reached the boiling point in an long-simmering argument over her living in his house, authorities and witnesses said.

Police said Lynda Delaney, 26, was expected to be charged Monday night in the death of Daniel Ilardi, 55, who died early Monday, 10 hours after the Sunday afternoon confrontation.

Police said they were never called to Ilardi’s two-story home in Bensonhurst, where Delaney’s 2-year-old daughter, Alexa, and Delaney’s mother also live. But family members and friends said that Delaney’s living in the house has long been a source of tension.

“She said, ‘I’m going to kill your father. You’re father’s dead,” said Mathew Ilardi, the victim’s son, recalling Delaney’s words in recent days.

But several of Delaney’s friends spoke in her defense, saying that she was physically and verbally abused by her stepfather and mother, and was being attacked when she struck Ilardi with the scissors.

All said that Delaney had been arguing with her stepfather all day on Sunday.

At one point, the arguing became so heated that Delaney swung a box cutter at her stepfather, who managed to wrestle it away from her, according to Ilardi’s son.

Jennifer Para, 26, the suspect’s best friend, said the argument began because Delaney wanted to go on the Internet to check her Myspace account.

Para said that Delaney called her from her cell phone as the arguing was building up. “She was screaming, ‘Get off me! Get off me,’” before the phone went dead, said Para, who alleged that Delaney’s mother, stepfather and stepbrother were beating Delaney at the time.

At about 5:30 p.m., Delaney allegedly flung the scissors at her stepfather, who was standing about five feet away, according to police and Mathew Ilardi, who witnessed the attack. The scissors struck the stepfather’s chest, piercing his right ventricle before falling to the ground, police said.

Please go home

Can any one feel sorry for these guys?

A sport utility vehicle crammed with suspected illegal immigrants rolled over in an attempt to outrun Border Patrol agents, killing nine people and injuring at least 12 others, officials said.

Five of the injured were in critical condition, Sheriff’s Maj. Leon Wilmot said.

The large SUV was carrying up to 22 people when the driver had tried to avoid a checkpoint on the highway, Border Patrol spokesman Lloyd Frers said.

With Border Patrol agents in pursuit, the driver attempted to make a U-turn and rolled over, Frers said. He did not know how fast either vehicle was traveling.

“The suburban was grossly overloaded, and it’s difficult to handle on that kind of (dirt) road,” Frers said.

Wilmot said the car had swerved to avoid a spike strip put out by Border Patrol agents.

Scores of illegal immigrants die each year while crossing the Mexican border into Arizona, many in car crashes. Smugglers often flee from authorities at high speeds or overload vehicles, which makes them difficult to control.

“They just pile in; they’re like sardines,” Frers said. “It’s unfortunate.”

The Yuma area, a sandy stretch of desert in southwestern Arizona, has become the nation’s busiest immigrant-smuggling hotspot. President Bush visited the area in May as part of his push for a sweeping overhaul of immigration laws.

Last month, after a crackdown on illegal border crossing, the Border Patrol’s Yuma Sector reported a 48 percent drop in migrant arrests — from 11,522 in June 2005 to 6,030 in June this year.

Dont fuck with the Grandpa

August 6th, 2006 admin No comments

Old folks take the power back! Get off of your rascals and start kicking some ass, WWII style.

A 70-year-old man chased down and killed a 19-year-old man whom he accused of snatching a chain from the older man’s neck, police said. Barry D. Mason was charged with homicide after the 2:50 a.m. Friday slaying of Jamil Burton on a Center City street known for its antique shops.Witness Fred Walz said he saw Burton ditch his bike in an alley and take off on foot. The other man, driving the wrong way, knocked him down with his vehicle and then got out and started shooting, Walz said.

“I ran over there to help him, and the driver of the car got out and started putting bullets in his head,” Walz told KYW-AM. A nearby police officer heard the shots and arrived to find Mason standing over the victim and shooting at him, Inspector Joseph M. Mooney said.

Police believe Burton had approached Mason, who was sitting in his car with the window rolled down, and after a brief conversation stole a chain with a ring on it from Mason’s neck and fled on a bike, Mooney said. When Mason caught up with Burton, he demanded the jewelry back as he fired at the younger man, who was unarmed, police said.

Human Resources where you at dog…

August 5th, 2006 admin No comments

This is why spanking is not cruel. If you don’t discipline children, they will get disciplined by someone who cares less for their saftey.

This shit head’s rap sheet goes back twenty years. Folks in the hood yo KNEW what this asswipe was all about and he was still walking around ~ free as free could be.

Almost makes me wonder what kind of protection this waste of humanity had. It should’ve been taken care of a long, long time ago that is if the services it rendered justified its continued existance.

The cops are ‘stunned’. Jesus wept. For ever and a day the dregs of humanity have “employed” those that are under age since the court systems go easier on them. Not only due to their tender age, but the added mitigating factor that one so young may not have any ‘priors’.

Priscilla Williams, the boy’s mother, said her son was “still kind of afraid for his life” despite Bligen’s arrest. Still “kind of” afraid…is that like being “kind of” pregnant, or “kind of” being an adult that is responsible for their offspring?

Good thing for the kid he has a gramma that cares.

The 10 year-old boy wanted a job so he could save enough money to buy a go-cart.

When he skipped out to play with friends, his boss punished him viciously.

His boss, police say, was a drug dealer who had the boy peddling drugs on a street corner. When the boy left his post, the man burned the youngster’s face with cigarettes – more than 50 times in one week. He also burned the boy’s shoulders and lower back, police said.

On Wednesday, St. Petersburg police arrested Robert Bligen, 46, on a charge of aggravated child abuse. Police say he may have employed other children and abused them as well. Bligen was being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Bligen has a criminal record in Florida that reaches back more than 20 years and includes several arrests on drug-related charges.

Priscilla Williams, the boy’s mother, said her son was “still kind of afraid for his life” despite Bligen’s arrest.

She said Bligen abused other children in the neighborhood, but many remain too scared to tell their parents: “They think their child was in a fight, and this man was beating up on them.”

Neighbors described Bligen as an odd man who wandered the streets mumbling to himself. They say he didn’t like people and would cross over to the other side of the street if someone approached him.

Microsoft rolls out Windows Vista soft drink beta

August 5th, 2006 admin No comments

Lets drink some vista baby!

Windows Vista, the operating system, is still not due out until whenever Microsoft is ready maybe January 2007, but the refrigerators in Redmond are already stocked for the party. Presumably in an attempt to get those lackadaisical coders back on track, Gates and Co. has ordered a supply of Windows Vista beverages to compliment the plethora of other free refreshments available at the office. Decked out with the updated Windows logo and a URL to the company’s internal Vista site (we’ve already tried to access it to no avail), the special-edition can of Talking Rain “sparkling water” is apparently just the thing to get those gears churning at Microsoft HQ. Although we don’t expect these to be made available anywhere that undercover gold master copies of Vista aren’t shuffling around, this just might be an obscure sign that we’ll see the OS on store shelves this decade, and hey, we’ll drink to that.

Out of my way

August 5th, 2006 admin No comments

This thing looks* bad ass. Click the link for pics.

If having your own personal life sized Gundam model just isn’t glamorous for you, we’re thinking the Land Walker may just fit the bill. Last year we caught wind of Sakakibara Kikai’s terrorizing mobile robot, but figured it was just another fantastic use of scrap metal and spare time. Apparently Masaaki Nagumo, the machine’s inventor, thought otherwise — the 3.4 meter tall robotic transporter is reportedly now on sale (made-to-order, of course) in Japan for about 36 million yen.

For us Americans pondering this investment, that’s over $300,000, and it’s highly unlikely this 1 ton beast would get through customs even if the company were offering shipment outside of Japan. Although it’s not likely to catch any robotic villains (nor bicyclists, actually) at 1.5 km/h, there’s always the dueling guns that are locked and loaded with squishy pellets to show them you mean business. Outrageous though this bot may be, we’re sure a few of you are still thinking over a purchase, so maybe this five minute demonstration can help you pull the trigger.

Cook that crack

August 5th, 2006 admin No comments

This is the only way to cook crack. I should have listed this under the Hero section heh. I wish we did this in Utica NY.

Three men charged in connection with a fire at a reputed crack house in New Brunswick are heroes, not criminals, said many people at a public meeting with the RCMP Wednesday night.Dana Russell, one of about 500 residents at a town hall meeting on Grand Manan Island, said the justice system hasn’t been tough enough on drug traffickers, and it’s being too hard on the men accused of attacking the crack house.

“Regardless of what sentence is imposed on these young individuals, never in the minds of Grand Manan people will they ever be considered criminals,” said Russell to applause from the crowd.

The charges against the men stem from a riot on July 22 in which about 40 people — some reportedly armed with guns, knives and baseball bats — burned a house to the ground in the island community of Castalia where drugs were allegedly being sold.

During the melee, four male residents of the home were badly beaten, and a woman was escorted off the island for her own safety. Shots were fired at a car but the driver was not hurt. Several people suffered minor injuries.

Big Pimpin!

August 3rd, 2006 admin No comments

This guy takes the cake…

A police officer in Maryland heard a surprising story when he found a 15-year-old girl and an adult male engaged in a sex act at 3 a.m. in a car in Takoma Park: She was a prostitute, the girl said, and her pimp was a coach at a high school in Prince George’s County.Arron J. Burroughs, a junior varsity assistant football coach at Bowie High School, appeared yesterday in Superior Court in the District, where he was ordered held without bail on a charge of first-degree child sexual abuse, said Channing Phillips, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office.

According to a charging document, the girl told police that Burroughs — who is also a Metrobus driver — repeatedly took her to the District to engage in prostitution beginning in September. She said Burroughs, 35, also had sex with her, starting when she was 14, the document says.

The girl was a student at the high school, according to a law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity because that information has not been revealed in public documents.

Told of the arrest, a spokesman for the Prince George’s school system confirmed last night that Burroughs is a coach at Bowie High and said that school officials would investigate the matter. Burroughs, who lives in Crofton, was represented by the public defender’s office. Messages left there late yesterday received no response.

According to the charging document, the police officer was on routine patrol early Monday when he spotted the girl and a man parked in a deserted lot in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue.

The girl told the officer that Burroughs had driven her from Maryland to the District on Sunday and that the two had sex early Monday in his Range Rover in the Metrobus yard on Bladensburg Road NE.

She said that he rented a room for her at the Budget Inn on New York Avenue NE for the purposes of prostitution and that a customer — the man she was later found with — drove her to Takoma Park and paid her $150 for sex, according to the document.

Later Monday, while she was in police custody, the girl asked Burroughs to pick her up at the hotel in the District. Burroughs arrived at 8:30 p.m. and was arrested.

According to the document, he admitted that the two had had sex in the bus yard and on other occasions, beginning when she was 14, and that he brought her to the District for the purposes of prostitution. He also admitted to having two pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, saying he supplemented his income by selling the drug, the document says.
